Tourney Time

I can't think of a better time of the year - Rambler baseball has started and my beloved Horned Frogs baseball team is the one seed and hosting the regional for the first time in school history. Do I have the only team 4 life in the tourney? Go Frogs!

Express

I watched the movie The Express last night (Ernie Davis story), which I highly recommend. Although pro baseball has just started and college ball only has a couple months left (TCU just won 4 straight with a big win over worthless Texas Tech yesterday), this movie got me excited for the Horned Frogs football season! Frog fans have a lot to be excited for next season as we're coming off our highest season-ending national ranking - 7th! One key game next season is the homecoming match-up against UNLV...who wants to road trip!?

Peter Cox Spotting

TMZ captured a drunkin Peter Cox at a recent TCU baseball game. Although he wasn't with his cone, he was clearly trying to disrupt the Horned Frogs. This is not the first incident of Mr. Cox, who has been know to travel to other MWC teams with the same behavior. This is typical classless behavior of a UNLV fan.

The Sign

I recently just learned my Horned Frogs sign and I must admit that it is sweet! Check out the baseball team picture. It is original and not a "cookie-cutter" sign, like all the other Texas teams. You have to be a true fan to know the Horned Frogs sign!

Basketball Tourney = Overrated

Sports fans need to realize there is more to March than just the men's NCAA b-ball tournament. The Horned Frogs decided to take it a step further than rival UNLV and not participate in the NIT tournament. This shows true class. Outside of basketball, the Frogs had a very eventful weekend, which finalized with my #1 vs #2 fan 4 live. I found myself torn between the teams, but knew I had to chear for the Gophers, who did win on Sunday 7-2.

Here are the top 5 highlights from the eventful weekend to continually proove that TCU is the best #2 team 4 life:

1. Get defeated by #1 team for life...shows loyalty to me.
2. Shot a record breaking 66.3. Only ALL female rifle team to compete in the NCAA tournament.4. All-American honors to 4x400 team at NCAA Indoor Championships.5. No 21 women's tennis team easily defeated Pepperdine 5-2

First Disappointment...Investigation

In my short history of being a Horned Frogs fan, I suffered my first heartbreak last night. The Lady Frogs were defeated by UNLV (84-75) in the Conoco Mountain West Conference Championship. Not only does the loss hurt, but it hurts even more that it was by UNLV - Cox's lifetime team. I do give credit to the work ethic of the Rebels, but question their character. There are reports that the team was "working" late at the Spearmint Rhino prior to the game (just like in Varsity Blues). There will be a full investigation and I'll personally go undercover at the Rhino to see if these reports are true.
I'm confident that the Lady Frogs will get an at-large birth in the NCAA Tournament. Our fate will be announced on Monday.
Go Lady Frogs!

We ARE....TCU!

I watched an emotional roller coaster of a movie last night - "We Are Marshall". I highly recommend this movie to any sports enthusiast. Although this movie had nothing to do with my beloved Horned Frogs, but it made me dig a little deeper into its rich school history. I never knew that Russel's TT team and Hanson's A&M team played a big part in where TCU is at today. They were all part of the SWC, but it disbanded in 1994-95 because the Texas teams were scared of the Horned Frogs; therefore joined the Big 8, which then became the Big 12. I now have new found insight into Texas Tech and Texas A&M. Both of these schools produce a bunch of pre-Madonnas! I almost feel bad for Russel and Pete to have such pathetic teams that they were so scared of the Horned Frogs that they had to change conferences.

We Are TCU!
